The Ithaca Green New Deal (IGND) represents the City of Ithaca’s commitment to fight climate change, social injustice and economic inequality.

It is a comprehensive program with two key objectives: achieve carbon neutrality and climate justice by 2030.

why this matters

We need urgent action to address climate change. The IGND positions Ithaca to make the changes we need—but it must be implemented effectively and on time.

Ithaca has an opportunity to be a leader in climate solutions. We hope that by helping to share the city’s progress, we can inspire other communities to take similar action.
